Use a big word if a big word is called for, but big words don't get to your guts as quick as short ones.
Jeff Bezos is GREEDY.
Elon Musk is a CREEP.
Mark Zuckerberg is NOSEY.
This is all self-evident and you don't need to start off with a primer on surveillance capitalism, start off with an easy agreement instead.
So when I'm thinking "more diversity" I say "more fairness," and when I'm thinking "down with capitalism" I say "down with greed."
'cause heck, you get WAY more people to agree with you that way.
Start banging on with the playground mums about smash capital they look at you like you've got three heads, but start with how greedy billionaires are and how much greed hurts the world and ten minutes later they're cackling "eat the rich" right along with you. People already know greed is bad.

lifehack cankers; food
If you have a painful canker (aphthae), you can use dried cloves to ease the pain for a little while.
Bite on the clove's head and let the numbness spread in your mouth. Then you can suck on the remaining bud in your mouth.
Cloves contain the same numbing ingredient used in creams you can get at the pharmacy. Those creams are sometimes sold as creams for babies to ease teething pain.

A #library is a great example of an institution where humans collaborate with each other for motives beyond profit. It is a place where it is easy for everyone to understand how our relationships with strangers can be more than mere commercial transactions.
A library is, in a way, an #anarchist space dedicated to knowledge.
It has rules and we observe them out of respect, not fear.
It has experts whose authority is not arbitrary, but knowledge based.
A library is a sanctuary from capitalism.
Imagine #libraries don't exist, but there's this person who thought of them and is trying to convince everyone else about them.
-Borrow books for free? People are going to steal them!
-You can just come in to use a computer? Well that's just going to be abused by freeloaders.
-Staff? Who is going to pay them? Why should my taxes be wasted subsidising access to books for people who haven't saved and bought their own?
How many amazing things do we dismiss? What is our society missing out on?
