noticing a trend of days where I'm Very Productive having almost zero impact on the amount of emails still in my queue at the end of the day.

@lemememeringue reminds me of at work when i'm not really responsible for taking incoming calls, but sometimes everyone else would be taking calls as well so i figured i'd pick up the slack just to not break down from ringing-phone misophonia
then i'd pick up the phone, it's something i can't help with, and then the phone's still ringing because someone else has just called

I have done almost double my daily average in 6 hours and what am I rewarded with? the same amount of unread emails I had at the start of the day
